ENG – David Poskin began playing the cello at the age of three. At just fourteen, he was admitted as a young talent to the Conservatoire de Bruxelles, where he studied with Didier Poskin, Edmond Baert, and Marie Hallynck. His development was further shaped through regular lessons with renowned cellists such as Walter Grimmer, Justus Grimm, Jeroen Reuling, and László Fenyö. He later continued his studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam (AHK) with Dmitri Ferschtman.
Throughout his training, David benefited from the guidance of prominent musicians including Vladimir Perlin, Alexander Boyarsky, Ivan Monighetti, Claudio Bohórquez, Alexander Buzlov, and Georgi Anichenko. During his competition preparations, he was consistently mentored by his long-time guide, Leonid Kerbel.
David has distinguished himself in numerous international competitions. He won the UFAM Competition in Paris (2005), the Concours Edmond Baert (2007), and the 1st Prize at the Oxford Music Festival (2009), where he was also awarded the Christopher Bunting Scholarship. In 2015, he claimed the First Prize at the International Young Virtuosi Pipkov Competition in Sofia, received a special prize at an international competition in Malta, and was named Third Laureate at the David Popper International Cello Competition in Budapest.
As a soloist and chamber musician, David Poskin has performed with acclaimed artists including Lily and Sasha Maisky, Alissa Margulis, Ofer Canetti, Dasha Moroz, Kristie Su, Gina Beukes, Luc Devos, and Sergey Redkin.

Op veertienjarige leeftijd werd hij als jong talent toegelaten tot het Conservatorium van Brussel, waar hij studeerde bij Didier Poskin, Edmond Baert en Marie Hallynck. Zijn muzikale vorming werd verder verdiept door regelmatige lessen bij gerenommeerde cellisten zoals Walter Grimmer, Justus Grimm, Jeroen Reuling en László Fenyö. Later zette hij zijn studies voort aan het Conservatorium van Amsterdam (AHK) bij Dmitri Ferschtman.
Gedurende zijn opleiding kreeg David ook begeleiding van vooraanstaande musici zoals Vladimir Perlin, Alexander Boyarsky, Ivan Monighetti, Claudio Bohórquez, Alexander Buzlov en Georgi Anichenko. Bij de voorbereiding op wedstrijden werd hij steeds intensief begeleid door zijn vaste mentor Leonid Kerbel.
David onderscheidde zich in tal van internationale wedstrijden. FR – David Poskin a commencé ses études de violoncelle avec Claudine Steenackers à l’âge de 3 ans. Il est admis comme jeune talent au Conservatoire de Bruxelles à l’âge de 14 ans et étudie avec Didier Poskin, Edmond Baert et Marie Hallynck. Il a ensuite suivi des cours réguliers avec Walter Grimmer à Zurich, Justus Grimm à Anvers et Jeroen Reuling à Bruxelles. À partir de 2013, il prend des cours privés avec Jerôme Pernoo, Laszlo Fenyö et en 2015-16, il étudie à l’AHK Amsterdam avec Dmitri Ferschtman. Lors de la préparation des concours, il a toujours été assisté par son mentor Leonid Kerbel.
En 2005, il a remporté le concours de l’UFAM à Paris et en 2007, le concours Edmond Baert (catégorie junior). En 2009, il a remporté le premier prix à Oxford et a gagné la “Christopher Bunting Scholarship Oxford”. En 2015, il remporte le premier prix du “International Young Virtuosi Pipkov Competition” à Sofia et la même année, il reçoit un prix spécial lors d’un concours international à Malte et devient 3e lauréat du concours international de violoncelle David Popper à Budapest.
Il a suivi des masterclass avec Vladimir Perlin, Walter Grimmer, Alexander Boyarski, Jerôme Pernoo, Ivan Monighetti, Claudio Bohorquez, Laszlo Fenyö, Leonid Kerbel, Alexander Buzlov et Georgi Anichenko.
En 2009, il a joué le concerto de Khatchatourian en tant que soliste à Oxford. Il s’est produit à plusieurs reprises avec le pianiste Luc Devos dans le cadre de divers festivals, des Jonge Solisten Oost-Vlaanderen et de nombreux récitals.
David aime jouer de la musique de chambre avec Véronique De Raedemaeker, violon, et George Tyriard, piano, avec lesquels il a donné trois concerts à Bonn et à De Bijloke en 2019.
En tant que soliste, David a joué le concerto de Shostakovitch avec l’Orchestre symphonique de Flandre orientale et le concerto de Schumann avec le Nuove Musiche Orchestra Brussels. En 2017, il a joué le concerto en ré de Haydn avec l’Arte Amanti Academy et les Variations Rococco de Tchaïkovski avec l’AMAJ Orchestra de Gand.
Il a joué de la musique de chambre avec des artistes majeurs tels que Lily et Sasha Maisky, Alissa Margulis, Ofer Canetti, Leonid Kerbel, Dasha Moroz, Kristie Su, Gina Beukes, Luc Devos et d’autres.
En août 2020, David a donné des master classes de violoncelle et de musique de chambre à l’Arte Amanti d’été.
Il joue actuellement un magnifique violoncelle qui a été mis à sa disposition par Florian Leonhard Fine Violins London.
JAP – 3!歳よりチェロを始める。14歳でブリュッセル音楽院に若手才能枠で入学し、ディディエ・ポスカン、エドモン・バエール、マリー・アランクに師事。その後も、ヴァルター・グリマー、ユストゥス・グリム、イェルーン・ロイリング、ラースロー・フェニョーに定期的に学び、アムステルダム芸術大学（AHK）にてドミトリ・フェルシュトマンのもとで研鑽を積む。
また、ウラディミール・ペルリン、アレクサンダー・ボヤルスキー、イヴァン・モニゲッティ、クラウディオ・ボホルケス、アレクサンダー・ブズロフ、ゲオルギ・アニチェンコ各氏の指導も頻繁に受ける。コンクール準備に際しては常に師レオニード・カルベルの指導を受けた。
2005年にはUFAMコンクール（パリ）にて優勝、2007年にはエドモン・バエール・コンクールで優勝。2009年にはオックスフォードで第1位を受賞し、「クリストファー・バンティング奨学金」を授与される。2015年にはソフィアで開催された「国際若手ヴィルトゥオーゾ・ピプコフ・コンクール」にて第1位、同年マルタの国際音楽コンクールにて特別賞を受賞、ブダペストで行われた「国際ダーヴィド・ポッパー・チェロ・コンクール」では第3位に入賞。
ソリストおよび室内楽奏者として、リリー・マイスキー、サーシャ・マイスキー、アリッサ・マルギュリス、オフェル・カネッティ、ダーシャ・モロズ、クリスティ・スー、ジーナ・ビュークス、リュック・ドヴォス、セルゲイ・レドキンなどの著名アーティストと多数共演。
