ENG – David Poskin, cellist

David Poskin began playing the cello at the age of three with Claudine Steenackers. At 14, he was admitted as a young talent to the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, where he studied under Didier Poskin, Edmond Baert, and Marie Hallynck. He subsequently studied with Walter Grimmer in Zurich, Justus Grimm in Antwerp, and Jeroen Reuling in Brussels. From 2013, he received private instruction from Jérôme Pernoo and László Fenyö, and in 2015–2016, he studied at the Amsterdam University of the Arts (AHK) with Dmitri Ferschtman. During his preparation for competitions, he was mentored by Leonid Kerbel.

David has won numerous accolades, including the UFAM Competition in Paris (2005), the Edmond Baert Competition (2007), First Prize in Oxford along with the Christopher Bunting Scholarship (2009), First Prize at the International Young Virtuosi Pipkov Competition in Sofia (2015), a special prize in Malta, and Third Prize at the David Popper International Cello Competition in Budapest (2015).

As a soloist, he has performed Khachaturian’s Cello Concerto in Oxford (2009), Shostakovich’s Concerto with the East Flanders Symphony Orchestra, Schumann’s Concerto with the Nuove Musiche Orchestra Brussels, Haydn’s Cello Concerto in D major with the Arte Amanti Academy, and Tchaikovsky’s Rococo Variations with the AMAJ Orchestra in Ghent.

A passionate chamber musician, David collaborates with Véronique De Raedemaeker (violin), George Tyriard (piano), Lily and Sascha Maisky, Alissa Margulis, Ofer Canetti, Leonid Kerbel, Dasha Moroz, Kristie Su, Gina Beukes, and Luc Devos, performing throughout Europe and giving masterclasses, notably at Arte Amanti (August 2020).

He resides in Brussels and develops his artistic career, particularly as a member of the ZENNE Quartet. David plays a cello generously loaned to him by Florian Leonhard Fine Violins.

David Poskin begon op driejarige leeftijd met cello spelen bij Claudine Steenackers. Op 14-jarige leeftijd werd hij als jong talent toegelaten tot het Koninklijk Conservatorium van Brussel, waar hij studeerde bij Didier Poskin, Edmond Baert en Marie Hallynck. Vervolgens volgde hij lessen bij Walter Grimmer in Zürich, Justus Grimm in Antwerpen en Jeroen Reuling in Brussel. Vanaf 2013 kreeg hij privéles van Jérôme Pernoo en László Fenyö, en in 2015-2016 studeerde hij aan de AHK Amsterdam bij Dmitri Ferschtman. Bij zijn voorbereiding op internationale wedstrijden werd hij begeleid door zijn mentor Leonid Kerbel.

Gepassioneerd door kamermuziek werkt David samen met Véronique De Raedemaeker (viool), George Tyriard (piano), Lily en Sascha Maisky, Alissa Margulis, Ofer Canetti, Leonid Kerbel, Dasha Moroz, Kristie Su, Gina Beukes en Luc Devos. Hij treedt op in heel Europa en geeft masterclasses, onder meer bij Arte Amanti (augustus 2020).

Gevestigd in Brussel ontplooit hij zijn artistieke activiteiten, met name als lid van het ZENNE Quartet. David bespeelt een cello die hem ter beschikking is gesteld door Florian Leonhard Fine Violins.

ダヴィッド・ポスキン（チェロ）

3歳よりクロディーヌ・ステーナッカースのもとでチェロを始める。14歳で若手有望株（ヤング・タレント）としてブリュッセル王立音楽院への入学を認められ、ディディエ・ポスキン、エドモン・バエル、マリー・アランクに師事。その後、チューリッヒにてヴァルター・グリムマー、アントワープにてユストゥス・グリム、ブリュッセルにてイェルーン・ルーリングの各氏に師事しました。2013年からはジェローム・ベルノーおよびラースロー・フェニョーのプライベートレッスンを受け、2015〜2016年にはアムステルダム芸術大学（AHK）にてドミトリー・フェルシュトマンに師事。コンクールに向けた研鑽では、恩師レオニード・ケルベルの指導を受けました。

これまでに多数の賞を受賞しており、パリのUFAM国際コンクール（2005年）、エドモン・バエル・コンクール（2007年）、オックスフォードでの第1位およびクリストファー・バンティング奨学金（2009年）、ソフィアでのピプコフ国際ヤング・ヴィルトゥオーゾ・コンクール第1位（2015年）、マルタでの特別賞、ブダペストでのダヴィド・ポッパー国際チェロコンクール第3位（2015年）などが挙げられます。

ソリストとしては、オックスフォードにてハチャトゥリアンのチェロ協奏曲（2009年）を演奏したほか、東フランデレン交響楽団とショスタコーヴィチの協奏曲、ヌオーヴェ・ムジケ管弦楽団ブリュッセルとシューマンの協奏曲、アルテ・アマンティ・アカデミーとハイドンの協奏曲第2番ニ長調、ヘントのAMAJオーケストラとチャイコフスキーの『ロココ風の主題による変奏曲』を共演しました。

室内楽への情熱も深く、ヴェロニク・ド・ラデマーケ（ヴァイオリン）、ジョージ・ティリアード（ピアノ）、リリー＆サーシャ・マイスキー、アリッサ・マルグリス、オフェル・カネッティ、レオニード・ケルベル、ダーシャ・モロズ、クリスティ・スー、ジーナ・ビュークス、リュック・デヴォスらと共演。ヨーロッパ各地での公演のほか、アルテ・アマンティ（2020年8月）をはじめとするマスタークラスの講師も務めています。

現在はブリュッセルに拠点を置き、ZENNE Quartetのメンバーをはじめ、ワロン＝ブリュッセル連盟を中心に精力的な活動を展開。使用楽器はFlorian Leonhard Fine Violinsより貸与されたチェロです。
